I first started working in travel when I was 16, having always had a keen interest in travel & tourism from a young age. My first job was working as an apprentice for one of the multiple agencies in Norwich and I stayed just over 2 years and completed my apprenticeship.
In 2014 I decided it was time for change and began working for an independent agency locally where I worked as a sales consultant. During my time with them I gained lots of knowledge and experience on long haul destinations, as this was their specialty. I also relished the opportunity to train and become an ‘Aussie Specialist’ after which I began working in their Australia department, frequently selling and quoting itineraries to Australasia.
I joined Travel Norwich Airport in early 2017and whilst I am based at the Castle Mall branch which I really enjoy, I also work occasionally at our airport branch, so you can see me at both. Earlier this year my boyfriend Liam and I moved into our first home together, so I haven’t been able to fit in a holiday this year, although we have lots of plans for travelling in 2019!
I have been very lucky to have visited a wide range of destinations including Minorca, Majorca, Ibiza, Kos, Egypt, Morocco, Tenerife, Paris, Madrid, Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Key West), Bahamas, Cuba and Toronto. I have plans to visit lots of other places too and on the top of my list would be Australia and New Zealand. I also absolutely love orangutans, so Borneo is another destination that is definitely on the top of my wish list!
It really does have something for everyone! Both adults and children can appreciate this destination, you will never get bored as there is always something to be doing. It’s not all about the theme parks, Orlando is great for shopping; Florida Mall is a fab day out and I would recommend an air boat ride on the Everglades. I have visited in December and one of my favourite things about this time of year is how festive the Disney theme parks look! It’s also a great time of year to visit weather wise, being a mild less humid temperature.
Ibiza has so much more to offer other than parties and nightlife! It really is an all-round destination, catering for every age group. Being quite a small island it so easy to explore either by car or public transport and the local people are extremely friendly!
Cala’n Bosh it great for eating out, the harbour area is lined with lots of bars and restaurants, the beaches in Menorca are also stunning, my personal favourite is the beach in Cala Galdana.
Such a diverse city, with lots to do. When I go on a trip I love to eat out at different restaurants and you can’t go wrong in Toronto. It is also another great destination for shopping. A trip to Niagara Falls is a must when visiting Toronto.
