Norwich Airport has a weekly flight departure to Paphos, Cyprus between May and September. With average summer temperatures of 26ºC and the mercury often reaching over 30ºC this is a great destination for the sun-worshippers out there. Even in the winter the temperature averages around 12ºC in the coldest months making this a great winter destination too.
The beachfront at Paphos is lined with resorts of all shapes and sizes, all within easy walking distance of the towns vibrant harbour. The area is filled with restaurants and bars, shops and cafes and there are often street entertainers dotted along the front, entertaining the tourists. Many excursions run from the harbour including glass-bottomed boats, a Pirate ship and many more charter vessels. The highlight of Paphos harbour is Paphos Castle which has been destroyed and rebuilt numerous times over the centuries. Its current iteration provides the backdrop for many celebrations in the town.
