Aberdeen

Aberdeen is just a short flight from Norwich Airport and gives you direct access to Scotland’s stunning East Coast and both the highlands and lowlands alike.  We a mild average temperature and fabulous scenery and golf courses, there are ample opportunities to get outside, explore and keep active.  With two ski and snowboarding resorts close by there is plenty to do in both summer and winter months.

Whilst in Scotland sample some of the fantastic whiskies available from the local distilleries including the famous Chivas Regal from the nearby Royal Lochnagar Distillery.

Aberdeenshire is famous for its castles, particular the Queen’s summer residence of Balmoral.  When the Royal Family aren’t at home you can tour the gardens and parts of the castle.  Aside from Balmoral there are around 300 other castles in the region, including the pink Craigevar Castle, said to have been a precursor to the Disney Castle, and Slain’s Castle which is said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula during his stay there.

All of this and plenty of shopping and museums to choose from means a trip to Aberdeen offers plenty to see and do.
